Regarded as one of SNK's greatest games ever produced, SAMURAI SHODOWN II successfully integrated a brand new, dynamic fighting system that was years ahead of its time. The fighting system introduced players to several new offensive and defensive maneuvers including the ability to roll both forwards and backwards, ducking to avoid high attacks, hopping to avoid low attacks and the implementation of a ‘parry' system that would allow players to deflect incoming attacks at the last second if performed successfully. In addition to the newly revised fighting system, SAMURAI SHODOWN II also features 16 unique playable characters, hidden bosses, a two player versus mode and of course all of the wonderful translations fans have grown to love.

We've improved many of the skills so that playing Lineage II is even more fun and exciting than ever before. The amount of inventory items has increased greatly-we've filled up the lower tier of items so new players can get decent gear a lot sooner, added new tier weapons to shops and even the chance of refining items into more rare and valuable items. Finally, we've spruced up some of the hunting areas in the game, like the Cruma Tower, so players can get more use out of them.

While the stats of the Kenkonen (and the accompanying weapon skill) are subject to change before the September release, certain features still stand out in the version shown at the Summit. The damage per second on it was, while still more than respectable, lower than on the Monk's fully realized Dynamis relic, the Spharai. This is intentional, Square-Enix explained at the summit, as the Nyzul Isle relics are intended to focus less on raw damage and more on enhancing the abilities of the job.
